Event photography, really?
When people hear “event photography,” they usually picture polite smiles, awkward handshakes and posed group of stiff execs. The kind of photos that look like they were taken because someone had to.
That’s not what I’m after.
I like the in-between moments. The quick exchange before a panel starts. The genuine laugh during a coffee break. The spark when two people realise they’re actually on the same wave length.
Good event photography doesn’t just show what happened. It captures the atmosphere, the pulse of the room. It makes people who weren’t there curious, and those who were there proud they showed up.
Of course, I’ll cover the basics — the stage, the speakers, the setup — but what matters most to me are the people. The candid expressions, the tiny gestures, the energy that says more than any press release ever could.
How I work
I started out obsessed with candid portraits, trying to catch that split-second of magic my then 2-year-old daughter would gift us with every other minute. Turns out that’s a valuable skill in my work universe, where most of the best moments happen unscripted too (even though competing with my daughter's cuteness is a lost cause).
My clients range from EU institutions to trade associations, corporates and NGOs. They call me when they want their communication to feel less staged and more true. I understand the formal side of their events, but I’m always chasing the human side — the part that connects.
You’ll get the technical reliability you need, sure, but also the authenticity that makes a photo worth sharing.
If that sounds like your kind of story, let’s grab a coffee or have a walk and see what we can create together.
